we had a glorious evening here, after all the rain this morning. so I decided to head outside with the boys to spend some time with them and have a little fun.
even in our underwear.

these two recently got married and i was so excited to get to take their engagement photos way back when! (ahem, october, that is.)
seriously , we had so much fun hanging out at the beach together. we joked, we laughed, they kissed! watching them interact brought me so much joy. you could tell that they had both been waiting for this moment and their love for each other was obvious. i’m just glad they asked me along for the ride.

oh, and did i mention that they’re both gorgeous? they seriously made it easy for me.

thanks, christina and sung, for such an amazing day and for all your kindness. you guys are the best!
and, by the by, their bridals are coming up on the blog soon! so check back for those.
and i’m sure it makes janae happy too!
i had such a fun time on this shoot with her. i was able to give the kids away to grandma, and just focus on doing some fun photography. i have to admit, it’s been a while since i could do that! i swear, whoever decided to try and do a photography business with 2 kids? oh yeah, that was me. well, i am crazy for doing it, but i love it so much that i just can’t stop!

ps: this is my favorite shot of the day. isn’t she just gorgeous?!
oh this fun family! these are friends of ours from our orange county days and i really like erin a lot. she’s so sweet and unassuming and just really has such a good heart. i loved being able to capture her and her family (those adorable little girls!) a while ago. we had an interesting session, as the girls weren’t loving the situation, but in the end i think we had a good show.

is he not the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen?? seriously, tawni, thank you so much for letting come and capture these memories for you guys!
there will be more where these came from, i can promise you that.
in the church that i belong to, we have men and women called missionaries who take 2 years out of their lives to serve a mission for our church in some part of the world. that means that where we live, we have missionaries assigned to our area. we like to have them over for dinner as a service as well as a fun time to get to know them while they’re stationed here.
these two elders (that’s what they are called) are such great guys to be around. and since they were over at our house for dinner one night, they saw my lighting equipment and asked if i take pictures. yep! was my reply, and they asked if i’d take a couple of them. and i do mean a couple, we had a mini-session that lasted all of 8 minutes.
here are a couple from that session. again, it’s nothing major, we didn’t even use a backdrop, just the wall of my front room.
but it was fun to play around a little bit.

i will be having a couple of great sessions coming up soon, so stay tuned for those!
